All of us have been in the ‘ethical’ space for a while, either helming brands, production companies or writing and we’ve succeeded in moving past that overwhelmed feeling. You know it. It that happens after you watch a good documentary, do some googling and learn about the impacts of your purchases and the interconnectedness of the world. You get lost in a mind vortex.
For me, it went something like this, “Welp, there’s a whole lotta shit in the world and I’m way too stressed out and tiny to manage it!” I think I’ll retire to my sofa and watch Broad City.
But that doesn’t work. Luckily, I found these peeps! I think a big reason we overcame is because we have each other. Connecting with souls that share a purpose, living more consciously — be it through our clothes, consumption (or lack thereof), careers, or simple interactions with others — helps us navigate complexity.
I love collaborating with them because our talents differ but our drive is the same. Through our creative work, we strive to positively impact the spaces we touch every day. Plus, they bring a sense of humor to my life!
If you fancy, listen to us in conversation. We gab about living with stuff and not taking it too seriously. Then tell me, how do you live ethically and stay lighthearted?[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUUlS7pEDRc&t=160s” el_width=”80″ align=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_btn title=”Subscribe on YouTube” color=”black” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fchannel%2FUC0kK850E5A-EIRuUm58dV6g%3Fview_as%3Dsubscriber|||”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][vc_column_text]Featured

Thank you for this video. Such good advice for checking in with yourself to make thoughtful purchases so you don’t end up with things you don’t want or need! I want to give a shout-out to the company I work for, Texture Clothing (https://www.textureclothing.com/) We are a small label that designs and manufactures our clothing using hemp and organic cotton here in the U.S. We love seeing more and more people interested in ethically made clothing and more companies manufacturing responsible pieces! We are all about making thoughtful purchases. We don’t want to sell you something you don’t need, that won’t hold value in your life, or breathe life into your wardrobe.
Thanks, Jaz! I’m glad the ideas resonated and I’ll be sure to check out Texture!
Cheers,
Kasi
